Strength through consolidation.
Asbury Atlantic, Inc. was formed in 2006 through a consolidation of
Maryland- and Pennsylvania-based communities in the Asbury system.
Asbury Atlantic focuses on budget and operational management of its
communities, with input from Boards of Governors responsible for
programs, services and fundraising at each
community. This leadership and governance structure at the communities allows Asbury
Communities, Inc. to continue to focus on its mission and vision. Asbury Atlantic
utilizes the efficiency of centralized resources built into the Asbury
system, combined with the individual strength of each community. Every
community is a trusted partner, and together the organization benchmarks
best practices and is innovative in providing exceptional services for
seniors.
A history of success.
Since the inception of the Methodist Home for the Aged in Tyrone,
Pennsylvania in 1920, and the Gaithersburg Home for the Aged and Orphans
in Maryland in 1926, the Asbury system has a history of successful
service to seniors spanning more than 87 years. That success continues
today through the management of Asbury Atlantic, working hand-in-hand
with residents, employees, volunteers and local communities to provide
housing, healthcare and financial security for the aging.
