Asbury Methodist Village resident Rev. Hal Garman was recognized October 20, 2014, by LeadingAge at their 2014 Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee with the Hobart Jackson Cultural Diversity Award, which recognizes an individual or organization that has effected positive change through a significant commitment to cultural diversity and inclusion. Rev. Garman's Gaithersburg Beloved Community Initiative provides intergenerational support in the community at-large by pairing Asbury residents with at-risk youth and community leaders to effect positive change both personally and throughout the surrounding area.
Bethany Village celebrated its 50th Anniversary on October 1, 2014, and this video commemorates the Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania continuing care retirement community's five decades of service and caring for older adults, while also looking ahead to new developments in the community and beyond.
