Gifts to capital campaigns are one of the most visible and far-reaching ways to impact the community where you live – and as demonstrated at Bethany Village, they can also be delicious!<\/p>\n
In April 2022, the Asbury Foundation celebrated Phase II of the three-phase Building Our Community campaign at Bethany Village with the opening of the gorgeous Town Center, John & Annie’s Bistro, and Clyde’s Pub.<\/p>\n
With menu selections that range from pizza, beer, and burgers to seared balsamic scallops and wine, there’s something for all palates. And many dinner entrees are made with seven ingredients or less and prepared using healthy oils.<\/p>\n
On Friday and Saturday nights – the busiest times of the week – the bistro serves about 50 people. And happy hour is often standing room only.<\/p>\n
Located on the East Campus, this 7,400-square-foot dining and gathering spot was funded by private donations and is situated adjacent to the Richard D. Rife Center, another spectacular addition to the community that opened in 2016 and was Phase I of the campaign. The Rife boasts 12,450-square-foot space for concerts, speakers, and social gatherings.<\/p>\n
The Bistro and Pub are more than a place to have a meal or grab a snack. It’s beautiful space for residents to fine, socialize, and so much more.<\/p>\n
Ginny Wilt, a Bethany Village resident, is creating social connections for the community’s women through her Bethany Babes’ Breakfast in the Bistro (the BBs for short). The first one kicked off in June 2022 with a full house of 60 residents, and Ginny having to turn down the additional 32 people who had wanted to attend. The BB’s now meet twice each month to accommodate all of the resident interest.<\/p>\n
“My goal is to get residents out of their homes to meet new people,” Ginny says. “And, that they find someone who can enhance their life in the process.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
