Asbury Place Kingsport was founded in 1989, to support the growing demand that seniors had in the area for an engaging retirement community to call home. Carved into the foothills of the beautiful Bays mountain, Kingsport provides residents with an engaging lifestyle and maintenance free living.
As there continued to be a rise in older adults looking for a place to pursue their passions while being surrounded by caring people to connect with. Since the doors opened 30 years ago, our services have been rooted in compassion and spirit of selfless giving.
We’ve continued to adapt to the changing needs of seniors with innovative programing and initiatives. The Steadman Hill supports residents in need of assisted living and memory care services. As we continued to grow, we realized that just because someone might need some extra support, doesn’t mean they can’t live a meaningful life like every other resident.
In 2016 we broke ground with a new health care model by building 74 long-term care and assisted living and memory support residences. Our 30-year history is built on realizing that our work is never done, and there is always an opportunity to do more good. Residents and associates have proved this time and again over the years. Most recently a team comprised of associates and residents won the Foothills Alzheimer’s TN Walk Grand Prize.
Like the mountain that our area calls home, our strong character remains loyal as we look forward to the years of service and innovation yet to come. Of just five accredited continuing care communities in Tennessee, we are proud that Asbury Place Kingsport is one of them. As part of an organization of people with a mindset to help others, we continue to evolve and grow our services to residents and their families.
Now that you know more about our history, we invite you to explore more about what makes our community so special. As we continue to write our story, seizing the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life will always be a highlight.
