In this lively living-history program, you’ll learn about Amelia’s experiences as the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean and perform the feat solo, hear her adventures learning to fly, and understand what drove her to head out on her ill-fated around-the-world flight in 1937.
Leslie holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University specializing in U.S. History and American Studies. Her engrossing, nuanced portrayals of Amelia Earhart, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Grace Kelly, Emily Dickinson, and other iconic women continue to fascinate audiences around the country.
