Jumping Into Their Community

James and Sandy Jones

James & Sandy JonesIt was 2015 when Dr. James and Sandy Jones moved to Bethany Village in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

But a 2011 gift to the Bethany Village Care Assurance Fund in support of benevolent care was Jim and Sandy’s first charitable gift Bethany. In 2016, they expanded their philanthropy to include support of the Hearing Loop System within the Rife Center and for a new bistro/cafe as a part of the second phase of the Bethany Village “Building Our Community” campaign.

“We value helping those who have outlived their resources,” shares Sandy. “We also know there are many who suffer from hearing loss, so we wanted to help ensure a hearing loop within the new Rife Center.”

Jim and Sandy are also big fans of healthy eating. “Seniors need to make sure they are eating right to live a healthy and fulfilling life,” Jim notes. “Making a multi-year commitment to help bring to our campus a bistro/cafe that focuses on healthier alternatives, well, that just made sense for us.”

They add, “We love it here and want to ensure those who come after us feel the same way.”
