Asbury Place Kingsport Welcomes Four New Leaders

As we continue our efforts to best serve all those who live or work at Asbury Place Kingsport, we are pleased to welcome four new leaders to Kingsport!

Peter Hayden, Interim Associate Executive Director/NHA

Peter has more than 40 years of service in senior living, and has familiarity with the Asbury Communities system, having previously served as the Interim Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) and Associate Executive Director at Asbury Place Maryville. Peter also has experience as an Interim Executive Director and NHA at multiple other organizations over the past several years. He brings great energy and passion to his role and has proven experience in providing high-quality care for those he serves. He started this role on Feb. 1.

Misty Odom, Director of Nursing, Health Care Center

Misty joins Kingsport with significant experience in both senior living and health care. She joins our community following a year at the Four Oaks Health Center in Jonesborough, Tenn. Her roles over the past 16 years range from Director of Nursing to Registered Nurse (RN) to RN Supervisor. Misty prides herself on being a continual learner and as a leader who is adept at building relationships with those she serves and works alongside. Misty has also served our country, having served as a RN in the U.S. Navy. She begins her role Feb. 14.

Melinda Sage, Assistant Director of Nursing, Health Care Center

With nearly a decade of experience serving as a RN and in other care-related roles, Melinda officially joined Kingsport in January. Most recently she was a RN Supervisor at Mountain Empire Older Citizens in Big Stone Gap, Va. Melinda is familiar with our area as well, having served as a RN at a pair of health care systems in the Tri-Cities area earlier in her career. She will fit right in with Misty by bringing high-quality and experienced leadership to all those who live or work in the Health Care Center.

Marsha Baker, Activities Manager

Marsha brings nearly 20 years of experience with her to this role, and we officially welcomed her to the community last month. Marsha has served as a recreational and mental health professional in Tennessee and Virginia. She comes to Kingsport after nearly two years as a Child and Youth Outpatient Mental Health Therapist with Frontier Health in nearby Bristol. She has an outgoing personality with a drive to make a difference in the lives of those she serves. Marsha is a great addition to the team.
