The Nursing Care Center at RiverWoods provides 24-hour skilled nursing care and secure memory care. We utilize a person-centered approach that considers each resident’s unique needs and preferences.

Our experienced, Mission-driven team of licensed caregivers work under the direction of a Director of Nursing and Administrator. A creative therapeutic recreation staff, social workers, a dietician and a chaplain, and friendly support staff providing housekeeping and meals round out your care team. We work closely with residents and family members to create an environment that focuses on all aspects of well-being – medical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual.

Caring for Seniors with Memory Loss

At the Memory Care Residence of RiverWoods, customized memory care is offered in a comforting, structured and monitored environment. It also honors residents’ independence in accordance with their abilities. Our trained nursing staff fosters continuity and trust by working with the same residents each day. Scheduled trainings ensure continual learning in accordance with the latest memory support research and practices.

Our specially trained memory support caregivers meet residents where they are and work to create a balanced, calming environment. They work closely with residents and family members to create individual bonds based on each person’s history, background, and preferences.

The Memory Care Residence at RiverWoods features a robust wellness program designed to engage five key areas for well-being: intellectual, physical, spiritual, sensory and social.

The RiverWoods Nursing Care Center is conveniently located along Route 15 and River Road, just across the road from Evangelical Community Hospital, various medical offices, and minutes from historic downtown Lewisburg. RiverWoods’ medical director, Dr. Thomas Smith, is affiliated with Evangelical Community Hospital.
