Established by a local family in 1989, Asbury Chandler Estate has grown through the decades, expanding its personal care services to include independent, maintenance-free cottages and duplexes on 25 acres. Today as then, our Lehigh Valley, Pa.-based senior community remains dedicated to providing quality care and residences for people 62 and older.

About Asbury Communities

Asbury Communities’ heritage is rooted in the Methodist Church. In fact, Asbury was established in Gaithersburg, Md., in 1926 as a home for aging, indigent parishioners.

While Asbury no longer has a formal relationship with the Methodist Church and welcomes people of all beliefs, cultures, and backgrounds, we continue to live our faith-based values of John Wesley, who urged his followers to “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”

Today, Asbury has nine senior living communities in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee, home care, pharmacy, and rehabilitation management services, as well as adult day centers and HUD affordable senior housing.
