Why Is an Entry Fee Needed?

Even though your residence in a continuing care retirement community is maintenance-free, Bethany Village does require maintenance. Entrance fees help fund enhancements, a wide range of services, life-enriching programs, and exceptional staff that a well-run community requires. Entrance fees ensure that you will have a well-maintained and engaging place to call home.

Unlike many other senior living options, continuing care retirement communities, or CCRCs, provide quality, on-site healthcare services should your needs ever change – all while supporting a great lifestyle for independent seniors.

80% Refundable Plan

With this plan, you’ll receive 80% of your entrance fee refund from Bethany Village. This plan makes the amount of your refund more predictable and offers the most value by preserving your assets.

50% Refundable Plan

This plan requires a smaller upfront payment to move to Bethany Village than the 80% Refundable Plan. It returns 50% of your entrance fee* to you or your estate at the time you are no longer a resident here. This option provides more long-term value than the Standard Plan.

Standard Plan

The Standard Plan is the most affordable way to enjoy Bethany Village regardless of which residence you select. In this plan, the entrance fee amortizes over 60 months of residency. This means that during those first 60 months you live at Bethany Village, you could receive a partial refund of your entrance fee*. After 60 months, however, no refundable portion of your entrance fee remains.

*Generally, the entrance fee is refunded when your residence is re-occupied by a resident who pays a new entrance fee. Specific terms regarding the refund of entrance fees are contained in the Residency Agreement. Carefully read the Residency Agreement for the conditions that must be satisfied before Asbury is required to pay the entrance fee refund.
