Job Description
As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service to our residents. Your role is crucial in maintaining a positive dining experience and ensuring resident satisfaction. We offer a competitive benefits package and a starting salary of $21.00 per hour. This is a Full-Time position that necessitates scheduled work hours every other weekend and on select holidays.
- Assists Dining Supervisor in training new associates. Answers, advises, or asks questions, and solves problems presented by other associates.
- Quality checks all completed production; tastes all menu items, ensuring that they meet standards for appearance, texture, taste, temperature, and overall quality. Is proactive in making corrections to production, plating and presentation done by other production associates.
- Prepares forecasted amounts of each menu item assigned, as identified on production sheets. Follows recipes accurately. Assists Dining Supervisor in ensuring that all production meets standards, and that production is coordinated for meal service.
- Assists Dining Supervisor in menu planning, ordering & inventory, planning special events & catering, and other operational tasks.
