About Us
Honoring Resident Voices
Normandie Ridge is a Mission-focused, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in York, PA, offering enriching, active senior living with a plan for the future.
Albright Care Services origins date back to 1916, when local church leaders established the United Evangelical Home in Lewisburg, Pa. Through the years, the Evangelical Home continued to evolve, becoming RiverWoods continuing care retirement community. In 1991, Albright broke ground on Normandie Ridge. In 2020, Albright Care Services affiliated with Asbury Communities, which ranks among the nation’s top 20 not-for-profit systems of continuing care retirement communities.
While Asbury shares Albright’s faith-based heritage and values, all of our communities welcome people of all cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs, including those with no religious affiliation. It is our intention that each Asbury community will be a place where everyone can enjoy and freely celebrate who they are.
We draw inspiration from the residents who continually shape and enhance our community’s programs and campus with their skills, talents, and passions.
Normandie Ridge is purposely designed to support aging better for longer by staying engaged through programs, clubs, wellness opportunities, planned trips and caring connections with your neighbors. The Resident Association works with administration and department leaders to share input and collaborate on new offerings and initiatives that impact residents and help ensure that Normandie Ridge is a well-being destination for seniors in York, PA, and beyond.
Our Mission
We believe that people should dedicate their time to doing what they love. Doing all the good we can with integrity, transparency, and grace is more than our Guiding Principle, it’s a way of life at our senior living community. Our Mission to explore possibilities to live your best life is the driving force behind all that we do. Associates and residents are always seeking new ways to make a difference here and across York, PA.
While Normandie Ridge retains the Mission-focused values of our Methodist heritage, we have intentionally evolved to be a community where people of all backgrounds, preferences, cultures, and beliefs feel welcome and embraced for who they are.
We value our not-for-profit status and a Mission focus that is reaffirmed through EAGLE accreditation with the Methodist Ministries Network.
