2024 Music for the Mission Concert Series

Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM – The Four Seasons Dancers

Four Seasons DancersThe Four Seasons Dancers  is a non-profit organization composed of 12 talented adult dancers dedicated to the exploration, growth, and advancement of International Dance, as well as the promotion of dance as a vital art form. For over a dozen years, they have captivated audiences in the D.C. area with their intricate choreography, vibrant costumes, and diverse repertoire, aiming to enhance cultural richness and deepen public appreciation of dances from around the world.

In addition to their performances, the Four Seasons Dancers serve as an educational resource, offering instruction in International Dance to promote understanding and celebrate global cultures through this expressive medium.

Under the guidance of artistic director and choreographer Elena Indrokova Jones, the troupe creates works inspired by various folk styles, including gypsy, flamenco, polka, tarantella, and mambo, enriching the cultural landscape through their art.

Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 3:00 PM – The Alexandria Harmonizers

Alexandria HarmonizersThe Alexandria Harmonizers have gained recognition for their exceptional choral singing, specializing in the intricate style of four-part close harmony. The chorus has earned nineteen International medals, including four championship gold medals, and received the 2018 “Ovation” Award for “Best a Cappella Ensemble.” They perform throughout the year at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, and regularly produce shows at the Schlesinger Concert Hall in Alexandria, Virginia.

Internationally, they have showcased their talent at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and commemorated the D-Day landings in Normandy. Their tours have also taken them to China, performing at the Forbidden City Concert Hall and the Great Wall, solidifying their status as a globally recognized ensemble.
