Executive Director
Michele oversees the Asbury Methodist Village community of 800 associates serving nearly 1,400 residential, assisted living and skilled nursing residents. Before serving at Asbury, Michele retired from the City of Gaithersburg as the Legislative Affairs Manager and the Director of Parks, Recreation and Culture. Prior to that, Michele was an Executive Director for a YMCA. Michele is a former board member of the Housing Opportunities Commission in Gaithersburg, and currently serves on the Gaithersburg Germantown Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Michele holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and master’s degree in Public Administration/Management. Additionally, Michele is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Montgomery, a 2019 graduate of the University of MD School of Public Policy, Academy for Excellence in Local Governance Graduate Program, and 2022 graduate of LeadingAge National Leadership Academy.

During my 20-plus years serving the City of Gaithersburg I developed close ties with Asbury Methodist Village and the dynamic people who live here, serving on its Community Advisory Committee. I have always admired the culture and respected that Asbury is an innovator and leader in senior living. I am eager to help lead its nearly 100-year legacy forward and strive for greatness every day.”

Director, Pastoral Care and Counseling
“Being a native of Gaithersburg, this position brings my ministry back full circle, back to the place where I was nurtured and embraced my calling to be an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. One of the roles of the pastoral counselor is to be the hearer and interpreter of stories. As I have provided pastoral care, the value of personal narrative is evident. It is my honor to be part of this new ministry at Asbury.”
