Asbury Leadership Development Institute 2022

Annually, Asbury’s top 150 leaders gather for our Leadership Development Institute (LDI) event. The goal of LDI is to create alignment among Asbury’s leaders, promote networking, recognize outstanding achievements, and further develop as leaders and as an organization.

LDI began in 2013, and in recent years the two-day springtime event has been held at Bethany Village in the community’s beautiful Richard D. Rife Center. A theme is developed each year for LDI, often centered on understanding and advancing the strategic focus of the organization.

In 2022, the theme was “Evolving culture to elevate performance.” The theme was powered by inspirational speeches and presentations by Asbury leaders that provided context, updates and a map of our journey through our recently announced Strategic Blueprint. Additionally this year, significant time was committed to our Foundational Pillar of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

LDI highlights include:

• Asbury Communities President & CEO Doug Leidig shares a “State of the System.”
• The annual Awards Ceremony, including announcing award winners from all levels of the organization. The recipient of Asbury’s highest honor, the Edwin C. Thomas III Leadership Award, is also announced. In 2022, Asbury Solomons Executive Director Kelly Friedman earned this prestigious award.

Keynote speakers: Experts and authors in health care, customer service and employee engagement are often featured at LDI events.
