We are pleased to welcome Carolyn Stamatakis as the new Chair of the Asbury Foundation Board of Directors.
Carolyn’s roots with the Asbury organization run deep, and we value her organizational knowledge, strategic vision, and acumen obtained through a career in financial advisory services.
Carolyn had demonstrated her commitment to the Mission of Asbury Communities and Asbury Foundation through a wide variety of roles over several decades.
Carolyn has served on several Asbury Boards and committees including the Asbury Methodist Village Board of Directors and Quality of Care Committee; the Asbury Communities, Inc., Board of Directors where she served as Chair twice and on the Governance Committee; and, the Asbury Foundation Board of Directors where she served as Vice Chair and on the Real Estate Partnership Committee.
“Carolyn is a partner and friend to Asbury in the truest sense,” says Asbury President & CEO J.D. Shuman. “Her dedication and contributions to enhancing the lives of those we serve is remarkable. Her guidance and leadership are invaluable.”
Most recently, Carolyn was an integral part of the development of a new Strategic Framework for the Asbury Foundation, which is furthering our ability to make donors’ passions a reality through philanthropy and helped kick off the Foundation’s most successful year in history, with gifts totaling more than $11.6 million.
A longtime Maryland resident, Carolyn attended Dunbarton College in Washington D.C. and graduate school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. She worked for several financial institutions over the course of her career, including Standard Federal Savings and Loan, Freddie Mac, and Capital One.
