We are happy to welcome Rev. Dr. Malcolm Frazier to our community as the Director of Pastoral Care and Counseling. He brings a diverse background and a great deal of experience to the campus and is excited about the values and Mission of Asbury Methodist Village.
Pastor Frazier came to us through the recommendation of a resident, and he immediately gave the sense of someone with great wisdom, passion, and purpose
Prior to joining Asbury, he served as the Director of Hospitality and Congregational Care at Foundry United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C., and in two different Executive Ministry positions for the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries. Additionally, as a member of the Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference, he served 11 years as the United Methodist Campus Minister at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Prior to his spiritual calling, Pastor Frazier worked in a variety of positions at Hewlett Packard.
“Being a native of Gaithersburg, this position brings my ministry back full circle, back to the place where I was nurtured and embraced my calling to be an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church,” said Pastor Frazier. “It is an honor to begin this new ministry.”
