Thank you to the Daily Item for its feature on RiverWoods resident and WWII veteran Carl Phillips, who turned 106 years old on June 5. Carl was celebrated by his son, friends, local veterans, and associates of RiverWoods Health Care Center located on its Lewisburg, Pa., senior living community. A draftee in 1944, Carl was a Seabee in the U.S. Navy in the Philippines and Guam.
