President & CEO, Asbury Foundation
J.D. began his career with Asbury Foundation serving the Bethany Village community in 2007. He began leading the Asbury Foundation as President & CEO in 2019. With more than 20 years in older adult services, J.D. finds value in partnering with a donor to fulfill their philanthropic passion within their home. “There are few things in this world more fulfilling than witnessing the impact of a donor’s philanthropy here at Asbury. I count it an honor and privilege to play a part in that impact.”
Vice President of Development, Asbury Foundation
Susan Mayernick joined the Asbury Foundation team as Vice President of Development in 2018. With more than eleven years in planned and leadership gift experience, Susan brings expertise to residents and friends of Asbury to structure charitable giving arrangements that benefit both their financial and philanthropic goals. Susan enjoys spending time with residents and friends of Asbury and listening to their stories. She also enjoys the opportunity to match donor’s joy of giving with current initiatives at all the Asbury campuses. Susan and her husband Matt have three children that are busy in college and high school. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and three children as well as gardening and hiking.
Vice President of Donor Relations & Philanthropy, Asbury Foundation
Fran’s journey with the Asbury Foundation began in January of 2021, following nearly 10 years of service to Albright Care Services. “I have the best job in the world,” says Fran. “I help people share their blessings to make the world a better place – sometimes for one, sometimes for many – but always for good!” Fran enjoys the Delaware beaches with her husband Dave and dog, Diesel. She is also a lover of books and the performing arts.
Senior Director of Development, Asbury Methodist Village
Suzi joined the Asbury team in 2020. She loves getting to know the residents and is excited to match the passions of donors with the priorities at Asbury Methodist Village. When she’s not in her office, you may find her chatting with residents or playing the piano and leading a sing-along in one of the beautiful living room areas on campus.
Administrative Assistant, Asbury Foundation
Ann Marie joined the Asbury Foundation team in 2021, after years of service to Albright Care Services. She is proud to be part of the framework that brings the big picture into focus, enriching the lives of seniors. When out of the office she is in nature taking advantage of all the Pennsylvania Wilds have to offer.
Donor Relations & Leadership Giving
Vanessa originally joined the Asbury Foundation team as a part of Albright Care Services in 2019. She enjoys building relationships with the residents and others who support the Asbury mission, to continue creating the highest quality of life and encouraging purposeful living. When she’s not out on visits or on the phone, Vanessa enjoys gardening, reading, baking, and spending time with her husband and son.
Director of Development, Asbury Methodist Village
Stephanie joined the Asbury Foundation team in 2020, supporting the Asbury Methodist Village campus in Gaithersburg, MD. She loves meeting new people and supporting donors to give where they live, literally! When she’s not engaged on campus, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family outdoors or doing renovation projects at home.
Donor Relations & Community Outreach, Asbury Foundation
Sue joined the Asbury Foundation team after starting with Albright Care Services in 2006. Having served many years in parish ministry, it was an easy transition for her to work within a United Methodist affiliated organization focused on serving seniors. Coordinating fundraising events to benefit those served by Asbury/Albright is something she really enjoys. She also dedicates her time, talent, and treasure to volunteering with and supporting community organizations that focus on building a better world.
Director of Development, Bethany Village
Jacob joined the Asbury Foundation in 2019. He enjoys being a part of an organization that is leading the way in senior living through innovative person-centered care. He values the opportunity to align the philanthropic passions of donors in a way that enriches the lives of those served by Asbury. When not at work, Jacob can be found running and spending time with his wife Sarah and son Ezra.
Director of Development, Asbury Solomons
Heather Mattingly joined the Asbury Foundation as Director of Development for Asbury Solomons in April of 2017. Heather is inspired by the compassion and spirit of giving at Asbury. She considers it a privilege to be able to serve the residents, especially those who have outlived their financial resources through no fault of their own. Heather lives in Scotland, Maryland with her family and enjoys spending her free time boating and hiking with her two dogs.

Claudia joined the Asbury Foundation team in 2020. She enjoys working with data within the nonprofit sector and was excited to join a team dedicated to doing All the Good We Can. She prides herself on creating efficient processes that support the Asbury Foundation mission. When she’s not behind her computer screen she enjoys kayaking the Susquehanna River.

Heather joined the Asbury Foundation team in 2020 and is inspired by the generous and compassionate spirit that our communities are built on. She is grateful to be a part of bringing excellence to the wonderful people who make Asbury their home and takes great care in seeing each gift fulfilled as the donor intended. Outside of work, Heather enjoys yoga and getting outdoors with her family.
