A Mission of Service and Compassion
As a leading not-for-profit senior living organization in York, Pa., Normandie Ridge continues a 100-plus year legacy of quality retirement and senior living and aging services.
In 1916, area church leaders established the United Evangelical Home on 108 acres in Lewisburg, Pa., to serve widowed parishioners. The ‘Home’ included a working farm and expanded to include an orphanage. United Evangelical Home was the foundation for Albright Care Services, Inc., a comprehensive aging services organization serving seniors in Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna Valley. Through the years, the Evangelical Home continued to evolve, becoming RiverWoods continuing care retirement community.
In 1991, Albright Care Services broke ground on Normandie Ridge continuing care retirement community in York, Pa., which proudly welcomes people of all cultures, backgrounds, and faiths, including those with no religious affiliation.
Albright continued to expand its Mission to serve more older adults through several LIFE Centers operating under the federal Programs for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, Albright Pharmacy Services, and Warrior Run HUD affordable senior housing.
