A Legacy of Outstanding Services
Just a few miles from Lake Erie, Springhill is proud to be one of just 100 senior living communities across the nation recognized for our “exemplary culture of resident engagement” by the benchmarking firm Holleran Research and Consulting. Both residents and associates work together to continually shape Springhill through their unique passions, character and shared drive to live each day to the fullest. With a proven track record of fostering engagement, our warm and inviting community is committed to promoting a higher quality of life now and in the future.
With a Mission of exploring possibilities to live your best life, Springhill fosters a culture of new opportunities and community support. Our pledge to provide Benevolent Care for qualified residents who outlive their resources through no fault of their own is one part of that. Learn more about our quality and commitment to you below.
Financial Strength
Springhill is proud to be a member of Asbury Communities, the 15th largest not-for-profit continuing care retirement community system in the United States as ranked by LeadingAge Ziegler 200 (LZ 200). With nearly 100 years of expertise and dedication in meeting the changing needs of our nation’s older adults, Asbury has made sound operations a priority. Led by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of accomplished professionals with experience across the financial, regulatory, and insurance industries, Asbury monitors our financial strength by:
- Requiring an annual audit to review the entire Asbury system’s consolidated annual statements. At the bottom of this page, you can view and download those and our IRS Form 990.
- Springhill is among the small percentage of CCRCs whose bond holds an investment-grade rating, having received a BBB Stable rating by Fitch Ratings.
- Participating in a national EAGLE accreditation process, operated by the United Methodist Association of Health and Welfare Ministries.
Accreditation
Springhill is proud to hold EAGLE accreditation from the United Methodist Association of Health & Welfare Ministries. In addition to assessing its member organizations’ operations and financial health, EAGLE emphasizes creating a values-based, Mission-driven culture.
Benevolent Care
Our Mission and faith-based heritage is reflected in our Benevolent Care program, managed by the Asbury Foundation. Should a resident outlive their financial resources through no fault of their own, they will be able to apply for assistance with monthly fees, food, medical care, medications and health insurance. Participation in this program is strictly confidential.
Tops in Resident Engagement
It’s fundamental to Springhill’s operations to ensure that residents know they are active, valued members of their new community. Residents elect their peers to the Springhill Resident Council who regularly meet with the community’s Executive Director and Leadership Team. Members of the Council actively collaborate with department leaders to identify and address opportunities for improvement. Monthly Town Hall meetings provide additional opportunity for residents and leadership to share ideas and strengthen our community.
